May has been an exhausting month - and it's not even half over yet. There was the academic awards dessert banquet - where I got no dessert (which was the only reason I went in the first place). We got through prom weekend and Sam's "vacation" to Florida (actually he went the last week of April, but we've been listening to him complain about the itching and peeling since then - poor baby). We survived dance recital and the first weekend of Honk - starring my favorite kid (the one that brought me a flower for Mother's Day and is not my daughter). After a tiring weekend, I let the girls miss school Monday (shh, don't tell) and we went out for lunch - they also spent much of the day complaining because there wasn't anything "fun" to do - yes, I have learned my lesson.
