January's Hints From Home page has some adorable snowman cupcakes - perfect for a winter birthday celebration - courtesy of Shawna Hammons Heller and her daughter, Ivy.
Ivy celebrated her 11th birthday with a slumber party. And, anyone who has ever let their child have a slumber party knows that Shawna is either very brave - or crazy (hmm, well she does work at the Bryan Times). Well, despite the snow, Ivy's friends made it up the long drive and it sounds like they had a great time.
If you're like me, you've forgotten to buy Valentine cards for school at least once or waited until the last minute when all the good ones are gone. Well, head for the craft, office supply or stationary aisle for some bright-colored card stock and some two-sided tape. Then head to the candy aisle for some individually-wrapped candy. Dig out the markers and give each card a cute "two" saying.
There's a lot to look forward to in February - Groundhog Day, Presidents Day and Valentines Day - and hopefully not too much more cold and snow. If you have any great ideas for our next page (next to the last Saturday in Feb.), e-mail me at jward@bryantimes.com
I love the snowman cupcakes!
